Basic use: Area walls allow light, air, egress and or access into a basement or below level structures. They are designed as a structural barrier to hold back the surrounding backfill at a basement window location. Most cities have codes that these area walls are required to meet. Huron Culvert and Tank Co. can design an egress area wall to your specifications. All of our area walls are made from 16 gauge (.064) galvanized steel to ensure a long design life.
